The addition of eight new Chromebooks in my fifth-grade math class will allow students to engage in independent work that is tailored to their individual needs. My hope is that through the use of Chromebook Stations, my students will discover math concepts and relationships, and be able to visualize these concepts as they learn the connections between math and our world. Students will use Khan Academy and IXL to practice, build, and extend essential fifth-grade math skills. Students will also use Kahoot. Kahoot is a valuable tool in my 5th-grade classroom because it can be used to review students' knowledge, for formative assessment, or as a break from traditional classroom activities. The addition of Chromebooks will allow me to increase student engagement by providing variety in small group instruction, workstations, and assessments.
