I am requesting Wobble Stools, floor cushions, and cushions for chairs that have shown that students are more engaged in their learning when they are given more flexible seating options. My goal for my classroom is to have multiple areas where my students can choose where they work and are the most engaged in their work. It might be at a table on a wobble stool, it may be on a cushion on the floor with a clipboard in hand, or it may even be standing at a standing table! We know that individuals all learn differently and this includes the environment and student seating choice as well! I feel that the basic student desk and chair can be very restrictive for some of my students and I am excited to try these new items in my classroom! I feel that this will give my students more choice and responsibility for their learning!
