My students love to see the work they have created displayed in our classroom. Unfortunately, I do not have any place to display their work. The classroom is a cooking lab with cabinets on three of the walls and all windows on the forth wall. I have tried to display their work in the hallways, but nothing seems to keep them on the walls. The tack strips do not allow enough space for their projects to be displayed. My students' families are most often simply unable to afford the basic school supplies that we use throughout the year. In spite of these challenges, I know that my students are capable of achieving great things, because every year I see my students meet and exceed the highest standards! 60% of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch, which is higher than the state average and have high financial needs.
