My classroom is very diverse, including students from many races and ethnic groups. Many of my students speak English as a second language, and we have a high transiency rate. Additionally, almost all class sizes are over 30, so I'm extremely grateful for any resources I can get that will allow me to be more efficient! I need to reach as many students as possible. I teach in a Title I school, so the majority of my students are economically disadvantaged. Unfortunately, there is a noticeable achievement gap in my math classes. I do teach both accelerated math and on-level math, but I have many students lacking in basic skills. Mathematical understanding and logic are critical to my students' success when they enter the workplace, and I aim to help all my students reach their fullest potential, both personally and academically.
