We have many great moments in a PreK year but one of my favorites happened last year when we were ending one project and beginning another. We had a tunnel and tent set-up for gross motor activities. One of my students went through the tunnel (he called it the Underground Railroad) and entered a space shuttle for an adventure in space. Maybe to follow the drinking gourd? I’m not sure but to me it validated why I need to offer more opportunities to explore science and social studies.
