My K-5 students are enrolled in a Fine Arts and Sciences Magnet School, yet we do not have any microscopes. While we are able to get the most out of our students, we live in a high poverty, urban community and our school lacks funds to be able to provide certain experiences that they deserve to have. Many of our students may never have seen a microscope, much less examined something under one. They need to have high interest, cutting edge technology placed into their hands. They need to experience things "under a microscope."
