I teach 6th grade at a low-income Title One school. Our focus school-wide this year is to improve the writing and reading skills of our students while enhancing their enthusiasm and creativity about writing. My students are extremely diverse, but do not have the supplies available to explore different forms of reading, such as graphic novels. Our school library has a very limited supply of trades and graphic novels even though student show an eagerness to read more.
