My second graders come from a very low socioeconomic area in one of the largest urban school districts in our country. But, they still have the drive and determination to become better readers and students. They are always ready to learn new things and take on a challenge. They don't always have the help or encouragement outside of school, but they strive to be great students want to turn these great students into strong and confident readers.
