Teacher: Mr. Saute

Learn by doing. My goal is to get these children outside and introduce them to an incredibly beautiful and amazing environment. Most students only see a glimpse of the world through TV, internet, windows or from a sports field. They need time to walk and "smell the roses". The students use photography, design computer environmental games and I am now introducing robotics! Through your generosity and support I introduce the students to the local native habitat, studying the plants and animals. Thanks to the National Park Service and Local Audubon Society, we have connected with the National Phenology Network to take our observations in the field and share them with the world. We have been acknowledged by the North American Bird Phenology program for our work helping transcribe almost 100 years of ornithological records. My hope is that through your support we can become a model for "learning by doing!
