I am a first year teacher who recently got a job in a Special Education Resource Room. Many of my students come from very low income families, and over half of our school in on free and reduced lunch. They are however fortunate to be attending a school that is a very large advocate for them. Our school is a demonstration school for AVID. AVID is a program that helps students to build good study skills, as well as helps and encourages them to find colleges and "go on" after high school. I just feel that with an iPad in the classroom I would be able to reach out to my students in many different ways, and fully use the schooling that I received on using technology in the classroom.
