I Am So ANGRY And I Will Hit You!

My students need 11 counseling resources, including curriculum sets, situation cards and activities and 7 DVDs, such as "Decisions, Decisions: What's a Teenager To Do?" and "The Big Deal About Bullying".

I am going to punch you in the face. I teach 6th-8th grade students who have cognitive disabilities. Academically they are on a kindergarten-1st grade level in reading, writing, and math. My students have a difficult time processing what is right and wrong. They often get in confrontations that escalate to the point of no return. I need to teach them how to deal with real life situations so they don't end up in jail when they are older.

My cognitive disability students have probation officers from the juvenile court system. My students have a difficult time dealing with their anger and get frustrated easily.

I need materials and resources to teach my students how to effectively deal with their anger and frustration. We need to practice real life situations so when problems do arise, they will have some skills to help them deescalate and not get into trouble. I am requesting videos called Decisions, Decisions:What's a Teenager to Do?, The Big Deal About Bullying, Real Life Teens- Peer Pressure, In Your Face, Respect Rules, Encouraging Moral Development in Children, and School Manners Adventures. I am also requesting What Would You Do? Activity Cards, Social Skills Lessons (Activities, Bullying and Harassment Situation Cards, and a Survival Skills Curriculum.

Your help will ensure that my students have learn to deal with their anger and frustration so that when they are faced with a difficult situation they can deal with it appropriately. My students do not have the skills right now and often get into trouble at school, home and in the community.
