Do you remember how mundane it could be listening to lecture and taking notes all day long? My students deserve a lively and interactive learning experience in their classroom.
As a New York City Public School teacher, many different students come in and out of my classroom every year.
I work very hard at meeting each and every one of their individual learning needs. In a class of 29 students many are English Language Learners as well as some students with special educational needs. In addition to many of these challenges I teach 6th graders. They are at a pivotal point in their growing lives. On the verge of becoming young adults many of them start to lose interest in the same learning techniques year after year. This can negatively affect them at such an important point in their education.
My Project
Creating a technologically rich classroom environment can be incredibly beneficial to students at such important points in their educational lives. English Language Learners as well as students with special needs are often difficult to reach and different techniques are required to help them keep up with the ever growing class. Having a projector in order to create interactive and vibrant lessons would be a tremendous help and change from the technologically deficient environment we are currently working in.
Having an opportunity to create such an interactive environment will greatly impact their learning experience.
