OMES is a friendly, neighborhood-oriented school committed to student and school success. Each one of our 400+ students are invited to enter an exciting world of learning in our new STEAM Lab. Our school is paving the way - we are the only elementary school in the region to embrace STEAM. In many ways we are innovative - always looking for exciting ways to refine student learning, always working to find better ways to engage students, to prepare them for the future. Our students will graduate in the 2020s. They crave, demand and deserve project-based experiences with embedded technological and hands-on components. Our STEAM Lab directly appeals to this the most stimulated generation in all of history, while also shining a bright light on existing classroom triumphs. We seek to transform the current K-5 elementary science, technology, math and art/design curricula. Our students and teachers embrace a rigorous academic environment, but also know how to have fun.
