My students come from low socioeconomic homes, over half of my students receive free/reduced meals. Some students witness gang violence everyday at home. School is a safe place for these students to express themselves and get the love and support they deserve. My students love school and do not want to leave us when summer break comes around. These are great kids with great futures if we are able to remain involved in their learning.
