This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My first grade students are busy tackling the Common Core First Grade Standards while also concentrating on their specific I.E.P. goals. They have goals and objectives focused on their language, social-emotional, and physical needs.
My first graders need grit to face daily challenges both in school and in their surroundings.
A typical day has my students focused on language, math, culture, and science, while also receiving intervention services in reading, speech, occupation therapy, and more.
My Project
My students receive reading intervention daily to work on their Early Literacy goals and objectives. We meet and apply what we know by writing using dry erase markers and whiteboards. My students find this activity engaging, but their markers can't keep up! This project includes enough supplies to keep writing all year long. The ink will be used to print learning materials customized to each student's goal.
A donation to this project will have a direct positive impact on my students' ability to stay focused on their learning using materials designed to keep up with them!
Thank you so much for thinking of my young students.
