I work at a high school where I get the pleasure of reminding students not to take life too seriously and can also expose students to real world experiences in the context of psychology. I need supplies like scissors, paper, glue so that students in my class can explore the world of psychology.
My students come from different socioeconomic backgrounds.
This provides a really diverse group of students. The students truly have pride in their school. They come together in an era where there is confusion about the gender, race, and age lines. These students have a true passion to show the world what they are truly made of.
My Project
My students need an AV cart and supplies like scissors, glue sticks, and paper to help them explore and discover who they are in psychology class. Many projects are done in my class. Students make posters that represent who they are through pictures and words that they collect throughout the year. The AV cart will be used so that I can project my presentations onto a screen.
As I tell my students every day, it's a new day time to live my life!
High school students (surprisingly) are making memories that will last forever. I want to expose them to lessons that will help them understand who they really are. They have one last chance to build a self-concept before they go into the real world.
