Where Reading Is Cool In Our School

My students need a Listening Center, a stapler and 2 new Bean Bags for a comfortable place to sit in our High School Reading Intervention Classroom.

My Students

Can you remember what it was like to learn to read? Imagine being in High School and still struggling with reading. My students are full of academic talent and need materials that help keep them reading today and in the future.

My students are in a Title I school and in HIGH SCHOOL attending a Reading Intervention classroom using Literature, Stations, and much one on one time with the teacher.

They all contribute so much to each class and deserve the chance to have more exposure to genres in a listening center and a comfy place to sit while they follow along to text. Give these High School students that are on IEP's and many who are not that extra chance before they are out in the big world to contribute to their future and ours.

My Project

This Listening Center will create a world of Literature and creative juices going in a safe and inviting Intervention Classroom. I will be able to keep my stations rotating and ensure they are getting the reading time in with the Listening Center and a place for them to sit. The students will be able to meet with me in small group/one on one on the Literature and text we continue to introduce on a daily basis.

This donation will greatly impact this Intervention Reading classroom today and for years to come.

Life long readers and the love of Literature these students will get in the next few years in High School may be their last chance to become an avid reader.
