We Want To Step Into Emotion Regulation

My Students

Each day we have more and more kids that struggle in school due to emotions. These materials will help kids control them so they can learn.

I work in a very rural and economically challenged area.

The students are eager to learn but often it is hard to learn due to emotions getting in the way. The families are often challenged with poverty and a lack of resources in the area to help their children learn these skill so it is key as a school that we help to teach kids not only math and writing but also emotion regulation.

My Project

We see more and more kids having behavioral issues each year. This program is a researched and evidence-based program that will help students learn the skills they need so they can succeed. I know that these 2nd Step lessons will be able to teach kids in a fun and creative way how to show empathy. These lessons will be used to teach listening skills, anger management, and also problem solving. We can teach kids math and reading but if we have not taught them emotion regulation we are not preparing them for the world.

This is a dream of mine to get these materials into our school.

We know that it is crucial to teach kids emotion regulation but budgets don't allow for those materials so I thank you for understanding the importance of this project.
