We Want Our Books and We Want Them Now

My students need more shelf space to hold their take-home books. They need book bins so they can choose the best books to take home, read, and keep learning.

My Students

How fun is it to take a new book home and be capable of reading it and sharing with your family?

My English Language Learners have a chance to select new books every night to take home and read.

The books are kept in such a small area and in bins that are stuffed full of books. The students get frustrated when choosing books or when returning them to the correct places. The take-home book program is becoming too stressful to enjoy, for them and me!

My Project

The book bins will allow me to easily separate the levels and give the books some breathing room. The students will be able to pick a smaller bin to pull out and choose from. It will be a snap for them to put back and they won't have to listen to Ms. King saying, "Did you put that back where it belongs? Be nice to the books, don't shove them in there!"

My ELL students need the confidence from reading on their own levels and from books they WANT to read.

They also share their learning with their families and in turn, this book educates a whole family who is usually learning along with the student. A home with few books is sad, a home with many books is thriving! Thank you for helping my students and their families thrive!
