My Students

As we move into the 21st century, one cannot help but realize the role that technology plays in each of our daily lives. In order to allow my students to be competitive with their peers I feel one of the best ways to make it possible is to provide them with adequate resources in order to do so.

My classes consist of primarily students with a rural upbringing.

They are a great bunch of kids with strong morals and work ethic. They are family and community oriented but many have expressed the desire to pursue secondary education and further their careers.

My Project

In order to ensure student mastery of the high school math curriculum in an effective way it is highly beneficial to offer students the opportunity to graph equations and perform calculations using paper and pencil as well as on a calculator. Using these calculators they can gain a better understanding of all types of functions, as well as getting the benefit of a visual graphical representation quickly and efficiently.

Donations for the purchase of these materials will benefit my student by giving them a better opportunity to be competitive with their peers through the use of technology.

It will also appeal to the younger generation that is so accustomed to working with technology as opposed to more traditional methods.
