Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Imagine students traveling back in time and recreating history! The "Walk Through American Revolution" can provide that experience for my students! California Weekly Explorer will visit my classroom and conduct an interactive presentation where students will live as historical figures.
My fifth grade students come from primarily low income households and need to have a meaningful experience of America's history, including its colonization.
As a shift to the Common Core Standards takes place, students need to be equipped with higher thinking skills across disciplines. This project will provide just that by having students analyze and evaluate key historical events as they learn through experience!
My Project
The "Walk Through American Revolution" presentation will allow my students to examine United States history through a hands-on simulation experience. This interactive presentation will provide students with meaningful knowledge about our nation's past.
This project will allow my students to gain an appreciation of history by living as people from the past.
History will come alive as my students are actively engaged in the learning process by discussing, debating, examining, and living history!
