My Students

I love teaching First Grade! This project will allow me to go to the National SDE I Teach First conference to learn new teaching strategies to prepare me for next year.

My students are first graders who needs lots of interaction with hands-on materials.

I have several great things in my classroom, but going to a national first grade conference will allow me the opportunity to learn from other First Grade teachers who have found effective strategies that work in their classroom. In my state there are not a lot of professional development opportunities explicitly for First Grade teachers.

My Project

I will use the knowledge I gain from this conference to not only enhance my classroom, but my school. When I return from the conference I will prepare to share what I learned with other teachers from my district. At the beginning of each school year my district has a district wide educational summit and I will present the newly learned information with other to extended the knowledge.

This project will make a difference to me and my classroom because without this project I will not have the opportunity to attend an national SDE I Teach First conference.

This conference will give me so many new ideas I can immediately implement into my classroom.
