My students need a plant light house. They need to study very hungry plants with hands-on activities using a terrarium of Carnivorous plants!

My Students

In early elementary, many students have mastered the concept of the plant cycle. Let's offer a different approach with their prior knowledge of plants and enter the world of carnivorous plants! With these plants, students are challenged to learn the unique survival of the Venus flytrap, etc..

At our school, the elementary students are eager learners and thrive with challenges using a divergent approach.

Hands-on activities encourage high level questions that spur discussions and more investigations. Our students come from various communities within a zone area to promote diversity.

My Project

Students will be excited to learn the importance of Carnivorous plants especially in Georgia and the benefits of saving these rare species as well as the importance of bogs and wetlands. The plant light house ensures control of the environment and the purchased plants allow a close-up view of plant growth without marching through a bog!

Student should have a concern for all living things and the effects of the environment on the different habitats.

First priority needs to be given to the various plants and their locations within a local region.
