My class is filled with an amazing group of kids. They come from a variety of backgrounds, and they come to school enthusiastic and ready to learn. I love getting to spend the day with this vivacious group who are inquisitive and hardworking. It is an incredible place to be.
I work with students who are active and engaged learners.
They are a very sweet and intelligent group of children. They are engaged in creative, hands-on activities which push them to think critically and "outside of the box". My school is a neighborhood school in a suburban area. The school is a well-run and friendly place to study and work. The kids come to school ready to learn, and I want to provide them as many resources as I can to make their learning useful and fulfilling.
My Project
I am requesting a book set of novels to use during our study of World War II. I am also requesting several other books which I will use in my reading groups and in my classroom library during a variety of units of study. We need resources for our study of immigration, the Great Depression, the Panama Canal, and both World Wars. There are many resources online, but I feel very strongly that books should be in the hands of students to help them get the most information as possible.
This project will help to place quality books in the hands of my students.
It will enable them to work together and share literature and informational texts. It will give them a chance to experience the study of history through literature including read alouds, group reading, and independent reading.
