Twister is a fun game but not when you are trying to listen to a book on CD or enjoy an educational website!
My students are sweet and funny first graders who live in NY on Long Island.
Our town was badly affected by Super Storm Sandy. Many homes and businesses are still in the process of rebuilding. Our town is full of hardworking individual who came together in a time of need. Since our whole town missed Halloween, some parents organized a "Trunk or Treating" event around a local park. I came with a trunk full of candy. I loved seeing my students faces light up when they saw me.
My Project
I am requesting coil cord headphones and a new listening center. These coil cord headphones will not tangle and are sturdy. The new listening center is needed because the old one is on its last leg and cannot be operated by students independently. Listening centers help to increase student fluency and comprehension. Please, help my students gain their independence back at literacy centers with these items.
My students headphones were constantly getting tangled.
I was spending more time during centers untangling headphones, than I was providing guided reading instruction. The tangled mess lead to the destruction of most of the headphones. Thereby shutting down computer center completely. Please, help get us back to computer center!
