When teaching different skills in my class we learn little cheers to go along with the lessons. I use it in my classroom to help excite the children and I am certain my students and I would "cheer" to have an iPad in our classroom to enhance learning.
I teach Kindergarten at a Pre K-5 school with over 500 students.
The parental support is very important to our families in the community. In addition to that, our school has wonderful and caring leaders and teachers. Let me also add, that we have the most wonderful students! I have been a Kindergarten teacher many years now and despite obstacles in the teaching field, I still love teaching today. Our school is one that knows the power of technology in the classroom and we work hard every year to gain more technology resources for our students. With small and large grants, we keep striving to bring more to our school and children. In short, our wonderful students are and will always be our top priority.
My Project
As a teacher whose Kindergarten students use effective technology lessons daily, it is obvious that tablets are truly starting to hit their stride in classrooms. With that said, I also know the importance of focusing on individual student levels. With the use of a tablet, my students could work in an iPad center to strengthen skills and be creative. In my opinion, growth should always be a priority and it is something I strive for. Technology has helped me achieve that goal in many ways. Our school set up an iPad website a couple of years ago. The site has links to free apps. My plan would be to utilize that to help lessen learning gaps with my students. We live in a technology society that embraces new technologies at hand. I know combining technology resources for our students would be productive. I also plan to connect the iPad with an Apple Dock VGA adapter to combine my interactive whiteboard and projector. I know my students would thoroughly love having an iPad to use.
As an elementary teacher, I know that technology can play a vital role in the classroom.
With the use of an iPad, it would help my Kindergarten students reinforce skills. You can help us by donating an iPad to my Kindergarten students.
