Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help my students learn how to recycle and learn about the environment.

I teach third grade at a remarkable school.

Many of my students come from high poverty situations. I have several students who are learning to speak English and/or have special needs. With all the obstacles we have to overcome, it is essential to provide my students with many opportunities to become engaged in their learning.

My Project

My students need hands-on materials such as the Earth and Environment Theme box and Learn to Recycle Activity kit as well as books to learn about recycling and how to save the planet. I am requesting hands-on materials and books to help my students learn how to reduce, reuse, and recycle. They want to learn how to save the planet one kid at a time. My students will be able to complete six hands-on projects. Through these hands-on projects, they will learn about rocks, wood, and recycling. Students will be able to practice sorting goods into the correct recycle bins. After, completed these wonderful hands-on projects, they will read books like I Can Save the Earth and The Three R's. They will learn how to help their world become perfect like ones in Disney movies.

These materials will provide my students with countless opportunities to learn about our world and enjoy literature.
