Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Enrich my students' learning experience by bringing this technology into my class.

Many of my students do not have access to the computers at home.

They are inquisitive but lack the means to research content knowledge using technology. They are excellent readers but they need the opportunity to research, explore and expand topics discussed in class.

My Project

A tablet would provide research opportunities in all academic areas. It will also allow second language learners to make clear connections through images and video. It will also target language arts and math areas providing supplemental practice through educational games for those students who need the support. A microphone would help them present their research in a way that is exciting and motivating.

It is imperative that we bring the necessary technology to our classrooms.

Not only will the technology motivate and captivate their interest but it will also prepare them for the future
