The Weather Outside Is Frightful

My students need a weather and water cycle teaching kit and two earth science lesson sets for a whiteboard so they can see the relationship between the water cycle and our weather.

My Students

Humans are born as scientists and love to figure out the world and how it works. If science is taught in a hands-on investigative way, students will love learning and will thrive in an environment that requires deep thinking, reading, writing, and even math.

My students are in a K-6 public school in an urban area.

Most students love science, but we are always short of money in our state. At this time we don't even have a science book that teaches our state core curriculum for the students. Teachers are required to find books and other materials to make sure the students understand the core.

My Project

I am asking for a kit that includes books and hands-on materials for teaching about the water cycle and weather. Students will be able to read, do experiments, think deeply, and write about their learning. I am also asking for some materials to use on the Smart Board to help with our science curriculum. The Smart Board is a great way for students to physically interact with each other and with the new knowledge they are gaining.

Students need more science.

Science activities takes a lot of time and money for teachers to prepare, and these materials will help insure that the students are getting the best science education possible. We are teaching the next generation of scientists who will solve the problems of tomorrow.
