My Students

My students and I delve into the world of literature everyday. We focus on practicing our reading strategies and I challenge them to move forward with their reading. I would like all of my students to improve their comprehension skills and vocabulary knowledge by at least one grade level.

My students are 6th grade Literature students who are curious, inventive and eager to learn.

They ask for more vocabulary. They say "Thank You" when I hand out a test. They ask me to come and have lunch, just to hang out. Our school thrives on the motto: "A Great Place to Learn and Work" and this is seen through my students on a daily basis.

My Project

Students will be able to read, research and fulfill their curiosity by using the iPad minis. At any time, the students will be able to find the answer to a question they have about their author, their novel or about a topic they are learning about.

My students love to learn and having that extra tool that can satisfy the curiosity of the students is invaluable.

Curiosity is such a great thing and I want the student's to be able to satiate that curiosity, whether it is researching a new topic, answering a burning question about their book, borrowing it to read a great book they heard about or using it's dictionary services. An iPad mini station will be invaluable and improve their literacy and research skills.
