According to recent national studies, one out of ever six American students is overweight or obese. ONE OUT OF EVERY SIX! This epidemic threatens our children and nation's future! My Physical Education classes need your help . . .
My classes are comprised of wonderfully diverse students.
They are eager to try new things, but truly love technology. It's a generational-thing, and a smartphone or tablet to them is like a notebook or pencil to my generation.
At the moment, my students love for all-things-tech clashes with the lack of technology in my Physical Education department. I want all my students to reach their potential and acquire valuable fitness and wellness skills, and through the use of technology, tremendous growth is possible.
My Project
One tablet will not save the world. What this tablet will do is excite my students. Engagement levels will greatly increase, and then the fun really starts. We will use apps to monitor key health statistics, chart our fitness progress, record classmates showcasing new skills, analyze motor skills, create health challenges, and so much more. The end result is a huge positive, as my students will be engaged and participate more.
Ultimately, I want the best for my students.
