My students need google chrome books and headphones to work on istation that we do daily. Students need 30 minutes a day on istation and this will give us the time.
My students love doing istation. I have a limited amount of computers in my classroom, so my students have to wait their turns. That is hard for a four year old to do. Having 3 google chrome books, my kids will have more opportunities to be on istation during the day and working on istation.
My students are 4 and 5 year olds in a high poverty pre-k classroom.
My students need as many learning opportunities has they can receive. Working on chromebooks will allow them more chances to learn successfully in my pre-k classroom. The headphones will allow us to have some on hand in case some get broken through the year. My school pushes istation because it teaches the children phonemic awareness, letters, letter sounds and vocabulary. It also assesses the students once a month and shows their improvements and the areas that need improving. It gives great lessons for me to use during small group and large group.
My Project
I envision having 8 students at a time being able to be on istation in my classroom. I want all my students achieving at their highest. For those that cannot use a mouse, this will work very well for them and their small fingers. They will learn phonemic awareness, vocabulary, letters and letter sounds through Istation. It will give my principal and myself feedback to ensure that the students are learning at the level that they need to learn at through the assessments given once a month. It also shows growth graphs to compare, along with parent notes, too.
This project will improve student performance on a daily schedule.
More students will be able to get onto Istation each day for longer lengths of time. Students will be able to use the google chrome books as another outlet for istation. The headphones will give each and every student more privacy while using istation. Thank you in advance from my class and myself.
