"Learning and innovation go hand in hand." Technology is no longer a mystery. It is all around us and evolving faster than we could have ever guessed. I want my students to be well-rounded in 21st century skills so they can reach their full potential.
My class, just like many others, is full of energy and excitement.
They are amazed at the smallest wonders of the world and keep their teacher on her toes. They remind me everyday how important it is to treasure every single thing you learn.
We are a public school in Kentucky that strives to build tomorrow's leaders. We all have our own unique stories. We reflect on our days and make goals for ourselves. Most importantly, we try to be independent and we love to have fun!
My Project
The Chromebooks in my project will help my students build 21st century skills. With technology, doors are open to opportunities that these students could not have without this help. I plan to use these supplies to help with interventions and provide enrichment choices. These materials will help my second graders become more independent and take responsibility for their learning. Whether it is structured programming or choice in research, I am excited to see how far my second graders will soar.
Technology is not always an option at home.
Sometimes, school is the only place a student can get technology in their hands. What if that is once a week? This project will help enhance our curriculum while giving confidence to all my students in my class. My second graders will be able to try new programs while refining their skills in others. Looking back on their year, I want my class to remember the doors that were opened. This project will help make new opportunities for all.
