My classroom is "All Smiles in Second-Grade!" I believe in making learning fun and exciting for every student. As you walk into my classroom you see a room full of smiling faces.

My elementary school is located in Texas!
We are not a title one school, so our funds are very limited. Our technology is far behind the majority of schools around the United States of America. I have a class full of 23 sweet and inquisitive young learners, who want to investigate the world we live in through the use of technology. At this time, we do not have adequate technology to keep up with the ever changing world around us. We have developed goals to extend learning in every skill area. It would be detrimental to any hurdles they may face now or moving forward in their lives to not acquire the technology given from the iPad.
I am certain the success of all children is the exposure of information given to them starting at an early age, and without this information they may well never reach their potential. I am the conduit between possible failure and success.
My Project
When you walk into my room you will see the children using these iPads daily. During reading, the students will be reading books online and answering questions to test their comprehension. They will also have access to a variety of online listening stations. During word work stations, they will use them to enhance their specific skills in areas that they may require extra support. During writing, the students will be able to create narratives through the use of the touch screen keyboard. During math, the students will be interacting with a variety of math lessons and learning games that will enhance their skill knowledge. During science, the students will investigate using the iPads, while inquiring about the world we live in. Having this specific tool could open up my students minds to places they never knew existed. I certainly expect a more constructive environment, and I will be there to observe and encourage every achievement along the way.
The impact could have astounding results beyond any scope that I could predict.
My students would take great strides in their learning though this project.
The use of this technology would take them on a new journey and meet their individual needs.
