Taking Root and Growing Through Art

My students need pencil sharpeners and basic arts and crafts supplies to start off the new school year with tools to expand their creative minds!

My Students

Pablo Picasso said, "All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up." My students need basic art supplies to express themselves creatively.

I teach at a Title I elementary school in coastal Georgia.

The population of our school is around 600 students, and I teach all of them. Every day, I am amazed at the artistic talents I see coming alive in these children! I am thrilled when I see a child move from "I can't" to "Wow! Look what I did!"

My Project

With your help, we will be better equipped to start the new school year. We need basic art supplies such as hand-held pencil sharpeners. We also wish to have watercolor crayons, scratch art paper, and batik tools to expand our abilities and experiment with art media beyond paper, pencil, markers.

In my opinion, Art is truly fundamental in raising a well-rounded child.

Art promotes problem-solving skills and gives children a sense of accomplishment and an outlet to express themselves like no other subject in school does.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
