A typical day in our classroom involves working with students at every level of the educational playing field. I would like to decrease the gap between all of my students by giving every child a chance. This technology puts so many different teaching tools at their fingertips.
Our school is a charter school servicing at risk youth.
These students have been through trauma none of us ever want to see. They have been deprived of basic needs and I want to open up their world and give them any and every opportunity that can be offered to them. They are spectacular students, who deserve the very best when they have been given the very least until they came to us. They would soak up the knowledge available on this technology platform.
My Project
There are endless opportunities on tablets that my students will be able to put their hands onto and wrap their brains around. I teach math and science and the science curriculum offers an endless world of experiments and questions. This technology brings the world to their feet and gets them to look at the world in a new way. Tablets help with differentiation. Global awareness is so prevalent in our everyday and our school is going paperless, what better way for us to give them knowledge and make a fraction of a difference in the environment.

I want to give them so many forums to discuss and transform their lives. Giving them cutting edge technology is so important in this day and age. You cannot move in this world without touching technology, please help me give them the very best.
