Mr. Hoese from Hazelwood MO is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need a tablet that has stylus technology.

I recently started to use the flipped classroom strategy for my science classes. The students are able to watch the lectures at their own pace and as many times as needed prior to the actual class . This allows class time to be used for applying the knowledge with their peers.
My students live in a high poverty,semi-urban setting.
Many have jobs to help support their families. This leads to a decreased interest in school and increase in "surviving". My students are incredibly eager to learn, but are often distracted by the environment outside of the school.
Since my students are often preoccupied at home I am trying a flipped classroom. The students watch the lectures at home on their own time and then work together applying the concepts from the lectures. Though my current videos are helpful many students complain that the writing is hard to read. This is because I am currently using a mouse to write notes. This method lacks control and is very "shaky". Most of my students do not have computers so they have to watch on their phones. With such a small screen I need a device that will allow me to write examples clear enough to be seen on a four inch screen. This is why I am asking for a tablet with stylus technology.
This technology will increase avenues of presentation to the student and help keep up with the changing dynamics of instruction.
This addition to the classroom, will bring the classroom to the student, on their time.
