Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I want my students to find a love for learning and reading!
My students are English Language Learners with a drive to learn.
They get so excited to learn about Science and having books to go along with the science units will help their understanding tremendously. They also love reading stories to grow their imaginations and to dream big!
My Project
During our integrated science and language arts unit, the students will be learning about the rainforest, plants, and animals. Having these amazing books at their fingertips will help them to learn outside of the lesson taught. Building reading comprehension can be difficult for English Language Learners and having these books will help them to build their critical thinking and build their comprehension with topics they love!
This project will improve my classroom by allowing students to chose books about the topics we are learning in school.
They will help them have fun reading because it is what we are learning about. I hope it changes my students lives by helping them love to learn!
