At the end of the school year, I want my students to remember all the stimulating learning activities we did. I want them to leave school excited about things like science, technology, engineering, and math, aka STEM!
My students are first and second graders.
They each have unique learning disabilities, but that does not keep them down. Every day they fill my classroom with their smiles and laughter. They may struggle to learn, however, their hearts are huge and they never give up. I admire my students' ability to try new things and face challenges with open minds.
My school is in a high poverty area and has over a 93% free and reduced lunch rate.
My Project
My students love doing hands-on activities! Therefore, they will thoroughly enjoy using these kinesthetic-based materials. We will use the magnet kit to enhance our knowledge of science. We will use the robots to learn engineering and programming skills. The robots will also teach my students problem solving skills and how to better use and operate technology. We will use the math games to increase our addition and subtraction fluency. And lastly, the sight word and alphabet games will develop teamwork and build upon an ever increasing love of reading.
This project will change my students' learning experience!
It will make science, technology, engineering, and math come alive. They will be able to touch, create, build, and develop skills that otherwise would not be possible without your help. Please consider funding my project and bringing joy to some young lives!
