Even though my students attend a Title I school and face many adversities in their daily lives, they still desire to learn more and persevere through it.

I know they would love to be able to explore St. Augustine, a place we have read about and studied from a distance, in person.

My Project

Through the funding received on DonorsChoose.org, my fourth grade team intends to put money towards our trip to St. Augustine. This would help to lower the overall cost per student. This price includes transportation, a tour guide, and food for the day.

I believe that this trip would help them be more geographically/historically aware and I think it would also help to show them the relevance between material covered in class and the real world.

This would make an abstract place, only hours away, on paper come to life for them.
