Imagine the challenges of designing the perfect seating chart and teaching all the different learning styles in a classroom. A projector can help a teacher actively engage all students in the learning process and no matter where they are in a room they will be able to view instruction on a screen.
I have 22 kindergarten students that attend a public school in Newark, Delaware.
My classroom consists of a variety of ability levels. I also have a few students that have attention deficit disorder and at the start of the year 40% of my students were considered at risk according to DIBELS. A projector can help make teaching and learning more diversified and interactive. It would also help capture the attention of those students that have difficulty staying on task.
My Project
The projector that I am requesting can benefit my students in several ways. There is only one projector in my school for 5 kindergarten classrooms to share and it recently broke. If I had one for my classroom it could be used daily. This projector is unique because it has a built in USB port. It will allow me to connect my document camera directly into the projector. The projector will allow me to provide my students with a multimedia learning experience. This projector will act as a learning tool to increase retention, maintain interest and elevate the learning experience.
I feel it is important to provide our students with multimedia learning experiences.
A classroom projector is one of the best tools to use to accomplish this. Projectors offer a visual source for practically anything you can connect and actively engages all students in the learning process. I appreciate your time in considering the impact that this request can have on the students in my classroom.
