My Students

My Special Needs students need down time to play in between their work times during the school day. Currently their toys are stored in laundry baskets in the play area, making the toys hard to see and get to. Other toys are stored in Rubbermaid boxes, also making them hard to get to.

My students are wonderful Special Needs students with a variety of disabilities.

One common factor is that they all require lots of love and play throughout the school day mixed in with the educational requirements that they need. We have been fortunate to have received a generous donation of new toys to add to to the blocks and dolls, and other toys in the classroom. However, we have no way to effectively store the toys for easy access them. Often, the students can't see what we have or find what they want and just end up frustrated and angry with each other.

My Project

My students need a Colors Of Nature Big Bins Storage Unit, storage for the toys in the play area of the classroom. We need a simple, clean, accessible way to display our variety of toys in the room. The addition of this unique storage unit with individual cubbies and bins will allow the toys to be stored and sorted by like items for easy access. This will help the students find the toys they want to play with during their play breaks and ease their frustration of not finding the toys they want to play with. This unit will also add organization and cleanliness to our classroom play area, which will in turn add an air of calmness to the room as well.
