About My Students

Stephanie, Edwin and Anthony are very dedicated students of Robotic Club! They want to create a project to help our club out so that we can get more resource to learn about building a robot and run the club as if it is like a small business. Please consider helping them on getting equipment!

Stephanie, Edwin, and Anthony developed this project because they understands that it is difficult to get funding in the middle of a school year from the school even our school tries very hard to fight for resource for us. The horizontal bandsaw, metal blade, and the chain breaker will be used for mechanical engineering for our club. The club needs it to cut/resize metal for chassis, metal pieces, and so on. The the blade is specific for cutting steel metal, and the breaker is to adjust the length chains. All these tools are very essential on building a robot. As a rookie team, we really hope that we can get your support!

Students will develop a variety of skills through the help of this project. Students are learning how to design a completely functional robot and compete at local universities against other teams in the FIRST Robotics Competition. So, throughout the building season and beyond, students will learn a variety of practical engineering skills and business strategies on finding funding and marketing for our team. Most of these skills are directly applicable for college and career building. Students will learn mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, etc. All of these are done via the sponsorship of Boston University School of Engineering, in which they assign engineering students to come to our school to help our students achieve all the learning goals mentioned above. Via your support of getting the equipment for our team, it will be uplifting and help our students and mentors as they will work everyday after school! Please consider supporting our team!

In Their Own Words

Our goal is to help our school's robotics team out via DonorsChoose.org and get the saw, blade, and breaker to help build our robot and do work for our team. This is our first year learning how to build a robot, and we cannot be more excited about it! However, we constantly find we need more equipment so we try to reach for your help. Our school works hard for us, but our school has limited funding. Please consider helping us out on learning about running our club and building the robot!

We will lead in bringing this project to life by sharing it with friends on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We will share with the class that being supportive for a learning project can be done in many innovative ways and writing a student-led project like this one is one of the most innovative methods by far. It is like writing a scholarship, except that anyone can chip in. Additionally, we will acknowledge those who supports me in school and be thankful for any support towards this project!

This project is important to my school community and us because this project will help our team solve our problem on getting material to learn. We work hard and long hours on robot building. Some of our classmate even spent over 40 hours building the robot over the February vacation and upcoming weekends competing! We work after school and weekends! So fulfilling this project through your help will solve a set of much needed for us! Thank you and we are grateful forever!
