Soccer Goals Instead of Orange Road Cones!

My students need these 2 soccer goals! We have a school of nearly 1000 middle school students and have NO soccer goals! For years all we have used are two road cones!

My Students

Do you remember playing soccer in middle school? Do you remember what it was like to play with no goals? That is what we have at our school! Our students have to play soccer by kicking the ball through two old orange road construction cones! This is far from an ideal situation for our students!

We are a rural community in west-central Minnesota.

Our students come from one of the most impoverished counties in the state so anything extra we can get to improve our facilities and equipment is appreciated! Most of our students come from families that make far less than the average living wage and they live below the state poverty level. A majority of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch.

My Project

Imagine playing soccer with two old orange traffic cones for goals? When students kick the ball through the goals the ball rolls on and on and on for many yards. If we are able to obtain real soccer goals, our students will feel like they are playing a real game of soccer!

These soccer goals will make a difference in our daily instruction.

Thank you very much for considering this proposal! The Physical Education Staff at our middle school THANKS YOU! He Shoots! He Scores! (We want to hear more of that... and with new soccer goals we can!)
