My Students

Do you ever look back at your old yearbooks and think "Remember when...." Help us create memories for our students. The yearbook staff is in need of a digital camera to call our own. This allows students the ability to take candid pictures throughout the year.

The yearbook is a club sponsored by a 6th grade classroom teacher and has about 25 students from 5th and 6th grade involved.

The club meets once a month and decides on all parts of the yearbook. This includes the theme for the book, the cover, and they design all the pages. As deadlines get closer, the group may meet more frequently.

My Project

Currently, the yearbook staff has to bring their own cameras or borrow from the media center. It would be much more productive to have a camera to call our very own. By having our own camera, students could more easily take candid throughout the day or at special events. We could still borrow from the media center and therefore have more than one photographer.

Since the yearbook is created by a teacher and students, having a camera would allow the staff to take more candid pictures for the yearbook.

Students always enjoy this random, unposed pictures. They provide a deeper look into the lives of the students attending Koontz Intermediate School.
