Shocking Student Engagement with Shockproof Cases!
My students need shock proof cases and screen protectors for iPad minis. In order to sustain the use of the iPads for many years, we need the best protection available!
When I was growing up, I LOVED school but many of my students don't always share the same feeling. I strive to provide opportunities that will engage even the most reluctant learners.
My school is exciting, full of vibrant students and teachers from diverse backgrounds.
We are a Title I school located in a low-income neighborhood or a "diamond in the rough," as I like to call it! We often lack funding to make necessary updates to our classroom manipulatives, games and other necessary materials, but the hardest hit area for us is technology.
Students come from various backgrounds and school experiences; we our proud of our students' heritages! We also recognize that sometimes our students are lacking experiences with academics and technology. It is our job to eliminate this deficit!
My Project
The "hard part" has already been completed! A class set(28) iPad minis was secured with other funding, how exciting! However, there was no funding left to purchase cases or screen protectors. In order to extend the life of the iPad minis, we MUST have cases and screen protectors.
Students will use the iPads to access a variety of activities. Students can access Accelerated Reader, ReadingEggs.com, Starfall.com, ThinkThroughMath and other subscriptions the school has purchased.
In addition, students can create ENDLESS audio and video projects. I can't wait to have students use audio recording apps to record themselves reading and then listen to themselves--what a great way to develop fluency!
