Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"The beautiful thing about learning is that nobody can take it away from you"- B.B. King. My mother instilled this idea in me from a young age. I strive to do the same for my students.

My students come with a wide range of abilities and skill sets.

The science lab is where they get to follow their inquisitive nature through experiments and exploring the world around them. The science lab is the place to learn by talking, touching, moving, and getting messy. Through their exploration they acquire the critical thinking and problem solving skills that will use throughout their lives.

My Project

Our lab is set up for 24 students. Unfortunately, the majority of the classes in school have more than 24 students. This means that many students don’t have a set seat. We often find ourselves looking for chairs to accommodate large classes. The stools will provide additional seating so that all students have a seat

The stools will not only provide some much-needed seating; it will also give students greater mobility when working with groups.

The stools are easier to store than chairs, so students can easily move them when they need to get up and work on a project.
