My students need basic supplies for school such as glue sticks, dry erase markers, and rest towels. During the winter months many also need warm, waterproof mittens.
In my classroom we say, "When someone is talking you are listening, because when you are listening you are learning." My students are busy listening, learning, collaborating, and having fun everyday!
My classroom is full of 17 vibrant kindergarteners who have a passion for learning about the world around them.
The students bring many different cultures, languages, and perspectives to our community. However, we are often short on basic school supplies that help students grow and learn academically, emotionally, and physically. Our school is in an urban setting with 56% of students coming from low-income families. Therefore, many families are unable to access basic classroom necessities.
My Project
My students need basic supplies for school such as glue sticks, dry erase markers, and rest towels. During the winter months many also need warm, waterproof mittens. In kindergarten children learn with through hands-on projects, activities, and games. Therefore, we go through a large amount of materials such as glue sticks, dry erase markers, pencils and erasers. These materials help my students have access to high quality learning experiences.
The donations from this project will keep little hands warm and dry with waterproof mittens in the winter.
They will keep little fingers busy writing and drawing with dry erase markers, pencils, and erasers. In addition, you will help keep little minds busy learning with classroom tools that will be used to make instructional games.
