My students need a document scanner. With this scanner, I can send copies of student work home, via email, or just store their work for use in other projects.

My Students

Everybody does something amazing every day. I would like to show that work directly to parents, instead of waiting until parent teacher conferences to share the portfolio of work.

My students are creative and funny kids.

They come from average, every day homes, and do average every day kid things -- which is what is so great about 5th graders. Their senses of humor and creativity are boundless. Every day, one of them does something that amazes me.

My Project

Often I share email with parents to let them know what their cute kids are doing during the day when they are away from them. Imagine how fun it will be for the kids to scan their creative writing to send home the same day they wrote it, instead of waiting until it is graded, or an art project, so the parents can see it the same time it is hanging on my "wall of fame" in my class. These funny, creative kids will love doing something to show-off their best sides (They have a lot of those "best sides"- so with a scanner I can do that all of the time.

A scanner would be so great!

The kids will be able to use it and plan projects to scan and save to their school file. The kids will also enjoy sending things on the email to their parents, and best of all, it will give me a room that is organized and a place to keep all of those great documents.
