This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The instrumental music program at our school offers many different opportunities for our students to discover music. We currently offer several levels of concert, marching, jazz band, musical theater band, and percussion classes. We are striving to be a well-rounded, competitive program.

Our students are hard working and excited to learn.

We are a new campus, increasing in enrollment each year, and we serve a diverse cultural community. We are a Title 1 school, with many students who do not own their own instrument, or have limited access to instruments and instruction outside the classroom setting. My students are excited to add whatever they can into their productions to make a connection to their audiences.

My Project

My students will be using the sampler to add effect and excitement into their upcoming marching band productions. The students will be able to learn how to create the clips on the computer, how to load the samples into the device and finally operate the technology itself.

In order to be the most effective, exciting, and competitive in today's marching band environment, adding sounds and narration goes a long way to enhancing the story told be the students.
